 The one great thing about the SOL side challenge is that it pushes you try new things and just as important, take your camera everywhere. Today we went with the "out-of-towners" for breakfast at IHOP. Breakfast was good and I got a few shots but nothing too interesting. I turned around and took a quick shot of the empty table. Lately I've been drawn to shooting these types of things, especially with natural light flowing in and the shadows. And of course, I find these shots even more interesting in B&W.

I tried all kinds of processing, but in the end it was very simple. B&W, a touch of Fractalius, a bit of sharpening. Nothing else besides resizing.

Hopefully next time I'll get brave enough to actually take more shots like this. I'm comfortable with taking my camera everywhere but still hold back a bit in public places. Maybe that's a good thing!
