First of all, it is kind of hard to tell exactly what this is. I would suggest shooting this from a different angle, and perhaps creating an unusual composition to grab the viewer's interest. Also, the image looks a little bit over-exposed. If you used your flash, you might want to consider backing up a little bit, or if possible lowering the strenth of the flash. This would help fix some of the blown-out highlights on the front of the subject. Another thing is the background... a plain, simple background might make your image look less like a snapshot... Yeah, I don't need another one of these. We have enough of these already. Have you got any other farm animals to match? :) Background is a little distracting, and the flash is a bit harsh.
