Jon
Excellent stuff all around.
Things I like: the frost in the foreground to add some depth to the grasses, the repeating shapes of the arches under the bridge, the brightness of the sun on the rocks, the balance of the dark foreground and the brigthness of the sky above the bridge, the placement of the top of the bridge
Things I would work on - the water in the lower right has some wonderful textures - i almost think some dodging in the mids and highlights would really bring this out even more. I would also consider bringing out the foreground a bit more - it is such a nice touch to the image to convey winter. On the crop - the little post on the upper left side - make a decision - is it in or is it out!?
Sweet stuff Jon! |

There are many things I notice when I look at this image. I love the brick work, and I wonder just how old it is. (from what I understand, EVERYTHING in England is old!) I love the sense of time it provides, I like the reflection in the water, I love the light shining through. I guess you could possibly crop a bit off the top to get rid of the bright sky, but I also like the trees and would hate to lop them off. |

sweet! i love the light coming from under the bridge. it's glowing and the arcs of light are uniform under each one. it's beautiful.
my sour is that the sky is so bright. i'm not sure what to suggest, though.
edit: i also love the reflection of the arches in the water!
