I bet this has been done before. And this was the best looking model I could afford :(

The plan was to show me painting myself digitally. But I didn't have an easel to put the mirror on. The background choices all seemed distracting so I ended up with my living room walls (one has a plant cookie). The biggest challenge was focusing. My toddler's toy 'Bailey's Dolly' sat in for me when I was behind the camera.

Light from window camera left.
Compact flourescent camera right.

Using Canon's DPP:
cropped
adjusted green and red levels
brightness -
contrast +
saturation -
converted to JPG
sharpened

Wow, how did you set this up without being able to see the camera... unless... the mirror isn't as square with your body as it looks. The laptop gives it a unique feel. Nice solemn expression.

Interesting idea, technically good photo. Sharp. Lighting is good. I am not sure about the shadows on the wall though. Maybe you did it for some reason. This is a nice photo overall :)

Interesting thought on the pose, not sure it worked though. Portrait itself is nice.

I like your idea here. The lighting is good, only thing I would suggest would be a tighter crop on the left. Nice work.
