'Blackout' coding sessions are what coders turn to when their eyes are as exhausted as their bodies. Dark backgrounds, no other light sources, only the text glowing on the screen.

Removing all distractions from the environment and saving the power of ones eyes for just a few more hours is the last stage after even the 'midnight oil' has burned out.

The shot itself was taken in my kitchen, where I do a good deal of my work. Curtains and black sheets covered the windows behind and in front of the camera (offcamera to the right). The only illumination comes from my disseration research up on the screen. Long[ish] exposure to deal with the very low lighting conditions. I'm guessing at the ISO, it didn't get recorded, for whatever reason.

Nice coloring, maybe seems a little dark overall for me though. BB

I hate apple... 1

No kidding. Although I don't use, never used and never will use apple, let’s talk about this photo. It is an apple commercial more than yourself. But I still like it. It's an interesting and unique idea :) Good one overall :)

Maybe not your intention, but I got a giggle out of this. I think I've known too many obsessive programmers!
