 This is one of my favorite ornaments. I used gaussion blur for the first time on this shot. I think if I were to reprocess I would have gone for a second or perhaps a third pass to really blur the background and lose the edges of the ribbon.

I like the blur in the background, it really allows the focus to stay on the beautiful ornament. The colors are so rich and royal looking.

Love the blurriness here, very dreamy. I love the colors and contrast -- beautiful image! The white circle on top of the ornament is a little too bright for me.

Your blur looks fine to me, and I think it helps a bit. The red thing (garland?) in the background seems to be shooting across the photo, providing a nice background for the red in the ornament.

Your ornament images belong in a magazine- they are so gorgeous (I'm jealous- going to dig mine out right now !). The gaussian blur works nicely on this one and the bokeh is lovely & soft.
