Originally, I tried this with dirty fingernails and gritty face, but I didn't like the way it turned out.
The presentations today of the queen looking like an evil ugly hag is not in keeping with the story. The queen was the second most beautiful woman in all the land. When she gave Snow White the apple, she was disguised as a country woman. As one commentor mentioned, why would she take and eat an apple from someone who looked like an ugly witch? Perhaps in disguise, the queen would have been gritty, dirty and poorly attired, but she would still be beautiful. Dispite her evil intent, she would be like the apple, beautiful but full of poison.
Anyway, I think my score was hurt in part by some modern depictions of the queen. Thank you for the comments and suggestions. They were all very helpful. :) |

| Good DOF. Model doesn't look wicked enough for the tale, though. The fingernails are too neatly manicured for her to be evil ;-). Still, a nice photo. |

| Another take on the apple shot. This is one is a very good shot with great lower light. Unfortunate for your great shot is that the other shot much like this pops quite a bit more. That being said this shot stands on its own and should get a good score. I hope that others vote it that way. |

| nice lighting, helps set the deceptive mood. maybe back out the cro so the hand isn't cut off and rotate alittle to straighten the eyes. just little things, I like the photo. :) |

| DOF and POV are great, but she needs to look more evil. The witch *always* looks evil, or at least sly. Though I suppose she'd have more success looking wholesome and innocent. |
