 On Saturday Stony Stratford had its annual turn on of its Christmas Lights. the High Street is clossed to traffic for the day and there are a whole host of activities, rides and stalls etc.

One of the traditions are performances by a local group called the 'Mummers' who are a traditional dance ensemble (a bit like Morris Dancers but don't EVER call them Morris Dancers unless you want your ear bent for an hour in how they are TOTALLY different)

They are meant to be fun but I have to say I find them slightly scary (whenever they perform you can see many kids and adults giving them a very wide berth). I had hoped that the Mummers might give me my entry for the fairytale challenge, but although I like the shots I took none seemed to be really fit the challenge so I thought I would post it here

Jon - Cool story and cool blue faces -but I agree that they seem a little scary. I like the focus of the person in focus. Sour- I wish we could see the eyes of the person in focus.

Great composition and colors. I'm curious to see what they're looking at. Although it might be fun seeing them in their native pagan ritual dance! (Oh, and what are Moris Dancers?)
