| Nice detail and rich color in the bloom, and a very good diagonal composition. For a flower shot to do well here, it has to be unique in some way, I think. This is a good flower shot, but not particularly unique. There are some artifacts of something in the background that do draw the eye a bit, but I'll disagree with one commenter about the green in the lower right - I think that provides a nice "support" to the bloom and some good contrasting color. In the DPC world, there's a tendency to oversimplify, to have a subject floating somewhat displaced on a pure back blackground that to me artificializes the subject. |

| NIce composition. You might experiment with different types of light on this instead of using your flash. You may get some different and perhaps better results. |

| The grey areas in the BG are distracting. I think you could also remove/paint black the whole bottom right green corner. |
