White balance is off from the light you used. You should have added some cool tones to bring this photo back to life.

Very pretty. I like the dark color above you. The pink just doesn't seem to work. Or should I say I think a bolder color would have added more to the picture. Of course I am not a fan of the color pink.

Very nice. I like the lighting on your face, the story on your face... the composition. One thing bothers me is the focus on your eyes, but it's not that important. Good job overall :)

For your first self portrait, you achieved a very good image.

Excellent first SP--nice composition and lighting.

Nice pose and lighting. Focus is a little too soft, though. I find it helpful to put an object where I'm going to be and focus on that. I'm guessing you also used a wide aperture given the low light, and that doesn't give you much depth of field to play with. Try it with brighter light and a narrower aperture. You can always darken it in processing to return to the quieter feel you have here.

you look like an actres... great shot

Lighting looks a tad bit harsh on the face.
12/06/2007 11:49:03 PM
Lovely soft focus.

Good shot, think the lighting might have been better a little more diffused but beautiful none-the-less.

6 for the image and 1 for the courage to shoot yourself in such a nice pose

And it's a nice one - has a nice warmth and innocence to it.

love the composition and colors. you got the mood right imho
12/06/2007 01:05:28 AM
You and me both! At least you look relaxed in this one. Love the soft lighting on your skin. BB

Got a bit of a color cast to it, but is a nice shot overall. The lighting on the hair on the top side of the head is good.
12/05/2007 09:38:28 PM
good for you, it takes a lot to get in front of the camera sometimes
12/05/2007 07:45:52 PM
Why so sad?

Good soft light, nice pic..
12/05/2007 05:05:40 PM
I like this...very pretty. I think it would be a stronger photo if it was in BW. But your eyes are full of emotion. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
12/05/2007 04:16:00 PM
Hopefully the first of many! :D
12/05/2007 03:52:40 PM
Not bad for your first. I think you should spend more time in front of the camera. You're pretty :-D
12/05/2007 03:11:20 PM
Personally I don't like the lighting, some may disagree. It is composed very pretty though.
12/05/2007 12:04:19 PM
Well you did good for your first. I like the lighting, and the expression on your face, almost as if your letting your SP tell the story. Nice work.
12/05/2007 09:37:40 AM
Nice image.
12/05/2007 08:04:08 AM
You forgot to say CHEESE! and then smile. Nice idea.

Love the soft warm lighting. A little bit of sharpness around might have helped IMO.7.
