This is deep and beautiful, a rare thing in a portrait of one so young. It reminds me of Rembrandt's self portrait, maybe the last one, that I saw many years ago in the Frick Museum. It is in the light and in the eye, taking one beyond time, youth and age. |

What a photogenic child she is! I love how the layering has deepened the tones, yet her face still radiates. I'll bet the original was lovely too. |
