On the camp at Bagram, there are still large areas requiring demining. They have these little signs, which are red, hung on the barbed wire surrounding the fields.

Oh, how scary, Deb! Makes me shudder to think of you over there, and brings home the reality that you are on a military mission. Plus it's just plain an evocative photo.

The thumbnail looked like a kite caught in a tree. I opened it up to something more sinister. Even without the thumbnail, this photo requires a process of realization that adds to its emotion... in fact, I would say the photo is about that realization more than it is about any particular subject.
