What you need to do is take this whole scene and airlift it to Iceland to get the gorgeous sky to go with it. :-) I love haybales. I'm more used to the square kind my grandpa used to have on his farm, but these are far more photogenic. One of the things that probably hurt you on score was the fact that resizing for web does wicked things to very busy stuff like hay. I have no suggestions as to how to avoid that. I'm going to guess that at a larger size, this has a lot more impact. I do think it's a wonderful representation of what looks to be a gorgeous fall day!

Oh Anni, you like the same things I do! I've always had a thing for the bales of hay and the pretty fields behind them. Nice shot.

Colors look a bit overcooked to me. The advent of the round haybales was a major boon for photoraphers, eh? I love the way they look.

I like the compressed DoF field, it seems a like it was made from a small crop and some details are lost, especially in the cut hay.

I like the composition, but the sky is too hazy and has no detail. An overlay layer, that is masked so it only hits the sky, combined with a masked shadow/highlights layer would kill the haze, bring out detail, and would do wonders to the image--6
