 Bought some yellow flowers and purple paint spray and played around.

boosted saturation up quite a bit.

I'm new here and I find many of the shots here inspirational getting me back in the mood to get the camera out more often. Very nice idea and good execution .

you're right about the can. when I bought the wrapping foil (which is around the can) it looked purple, but when I took the outer foil it was packed in off, it turned out to be blue. I was bummed by it but couldn't go back to return it.

Meant no offense, but the color of the can itself does look more blue than purple on my screen. Not disputing the color of the paint on the flowers.I tried some slight color adjustment on the Blues and a little did go a long way. Congratulations on making the top10. It's one of my favorites from the challenge which easly made my top5 :)

For me this is the true winner of this challenge, all the photos above it were just copies of well sold ideas on DPC. Personally I am sick of seeing the winning formula so much shamelessly repeated by people here. But there are still some people who do very good work and think differently.

great shot, very creative. i just wish that the yellows of the flower and wall did not blend into one another. dof and composition are right on though.

i like it. Althought why are the yellow flowers so blurry? is it due to the mist? Also, not a fan of the sparkly thingys in the fingernails.

Very fun shot! :D The title makes the shot and the shot the title. Great lighting and setup. Only nitpick, the can of blue paint squirting the paint. A very simple Sat/Hue adjustment to the Blues is what the Dr. ordered ;)

The yellow background seems weird to me, it is not giving contrast with the flowers. I'd like to see the same on different backgrounds. Anyway I like it. 6.
