 Reversed 50mm macro.

Flash with shoot-through umbrella camera right, slaved to built-in flash (minimum power so as not to contribute to exposure). It was very overcast so essentially all illumination is from the flash.

RAW conversion. Cropped to 8x10 aspect ratio. Noise reduction. Resize, smart sharpen and save for web.

Hi from the Critique Club

Wow, insect macro, I always love these.
And it fits the challenge well.
There is not much to critique about this photo,
it is sharp, nice colors, good subject, meets the challenge.
The only thing that I would have liked is that the bee was totaly in the picture and not obscured by the foreground leafs, but I understand that this is a hard thing to capture.

As I said, there is not much more you could have done, and I realy like it.

I like the perspective that the foreground bokeh adds to this image. Would like to see the "tail" of the bee in the shot, but the good greatly outweighs the bad in this. Well done.
