This is a great shot. Lots of energy in the composition, interesting take on the challenge. Sorry I didn't vote.

Focus should be on the eye of the subject in an image like this.
11/20/2007 02:24:27 PM
His tail feathers seem to be in focus but thats about it

WAY out of focus.

Unfortunately, your subject is completely out-of-focus, and the harsh flash lighting did not enhance the image. Nice bird, though...great colour.

Does this fit in with Topless?
11/19/2007 08:43:11 AM
Just not in focus unfortunately, even if it was, I'm struggling to understand where the "topless" element is coming from.
11/19/2007 02:23:01 AM
I feel this picture is too oof and suffers from harsh lighting.

Uninteresting. Overexposed. Unfocused. Title doesn't give a punch.
All in all you need to actually put some effort into your submission.

Blurry, over exposed, poor composition

sorry, but way out of focus - and you may want to turn off the flash on the camera. try using another light source. good try.

The focus seems off and so does the exposure.. I doubt people would find this on challenge as well.. Maybe taking more of the lower half would have helped this picture..

Totally out of focus and flash burned. Though I am sure you knew that. I think this has some really fun impossibles if taken the time to capture. Although Im missing the topless part...
11/16/2007 01:39:03 PM
Blurry bird....and blown out whites! Perhaps, if u had zoomed out a little more. The bird takes away from the lollipop....I would have never realized what the little man/lady was eating if the title didn't point it out.

It would have been better to focus on the head of the bird, rather than the tail. I different light source might have avoided all the blown highlights.

Out of focus
11/16/2007 06:56:41 AM
Photo really needs to be in focus.

what is topless here, please? don't say the lollypop, that is too much of a shoehorn. Besides that, there is nothing in focus, the crop is awful as is the lighting. Brown ribbon for sure.
11/15/2007 06:52:44 PM
Missed focus. Cute looking bird though :)
11/15/2007 04:15:35 PM
did you use a flash? if so, i think you were a bit too close because it is reflecting strongly. also, it appears as if you were to close to focus clearly. this looks like it would be a really interesting and humorous shot, but the technicality lackings really detract from the overall effect.

Very blurry and overexposed. 4

out of focus, weak composition, off topic
11/14/2007 07:25:35 PM
Blurred, and I fail to see the topless in this photo
11/14/2007 06:33:13 PM
A bit blurry
11/14/2007 06:15:06 PM
more focus should be on the bird...
11/14/2007 03:49:51 PM
a bit blurry

subject appears out of focus

Looks like the focus is on the tail instead of the head/lollipop.

focus !
11/14/2007 10:07:22 AM
I don't see how this meets the challenge. I like the concept of the photo, however he should have been in focus. No matter how good the shot, if it is not in focus, don't show it to anyone.
11/14/2007 06:29:06 AM
totally out of focus and poorly lit...
11/14/2007 05:19:03 AM
I am sorry to say I don't like the lighting on this one. Harsh lights and harsh shadows. The least you can do is hold a paper tissue in front of you flashlight to diffuse it a little. Furthermore, the picture is out of focus and cropped too tight. (3)

Nice framing, nice setup... principle topic too much out of focus.(3)
