First attempt at duplicating this picture. Very rough, and it's a self-portrait. I started setting up the shot 30 minutes before roll-over and didn't have a chance of completing it.
Bought a 3x5 hardboard for table. Butternut squash with mouth cut out and eyes made from mouth parts. Cut off 1" nails and embedded in gums to form teeth. Cut out plywood, put a 16p nail through it and plopped chestburster on the nail. Food coloring in disk and ketchup all over me and the rags on my chest under my torn t-shirt.
I made a big mess that took some time to clean up! I also found ketchup doesn't make very good blood.
