Challenge: Duotones III (Advanced Editing V)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Nikon Coolpix L10
Date: Nov 7, 2007
Aperture: f4.2
ISO: 64
Shutter: 1/239
Galleries: Abstract
Date Uploaded: Nov 11, 2007

Tiny rotation and crop; bunch of fiddles with gamma, convert to greyscale, hit sepia, then upped saturation. (Irfanview). No idea what I was doing, no idea what is a duotone in this context. And this title was just a bit less sappy than others I could think of.

Hope someone likes it is all.

Must say thanks for voting and commenting. Even by my peculiar standards this challenge was full of astonishing images, so my low scores, tho impressive, are not surprising; the high scores are.
Note: this is a negative primarily because it brought out stuff in the sky; not sure about the colour - I had a blue version but it had a lot of green in it, so to be "safe" I hit the sepia button - apparently not safe enough.

This is interesting. The problem for my eye is that the branch has too little detail, seems blown out. I wonder if this was achieved by a flash. imo, more natural light would have been better.

this has a very surreal, sci-fi, after annihilation feeling to it

Very lovely composition, and the conversion makes it look like a sand painting. I really like this. 10

This seems to have too much editing for my taste. But I do like the idea, and the background (the redish brownish colors).

Looks like an inversion. Curious concept, but I'm not sure it works here, and I also am not sure if this is a duotone or not.

I get what you did to it, but not sure why you did

An interesting concept and effort. Subjectively, it doesn't do much for me.
