 A detail shot from one of my favorite scenes in one of my all-time favorite movies, where Charlie and his "companion" are snowbound in a cabin and are reduced to eating boiled boot -- in the original, they made the boot out of licorice so the actors could really chomp down on it.

-Channel Mixer to convert to monochrome

I love the movie and the shoe looks delicious!
I did a rendition of The Gold Rush for the first movie challenge here at DPC. This is a pretty good clip of the movie. I like the addition of the grain, but I wonder how many viewers will know this is a shoe? A little more shoe showing in the frame might help a bit. High marks from me.

I have not seen this movie so I am missing the context of the shot - clearly it seems Charlie is eating shoelaces on a boot, but I gotta say the image is a bit hard to make out without a very significant knowledge of the movie
