 OK, I'm sure I am going to be asked how I set this up so here goes! This is an old trick I learned when I went to summer camp when I was a kid. Regular Right Guard Deodorant makes a great flame when sprayed just above a lit match. I lit the match and sprayed the deodorant on the right side of my face just behind and far enough away not to burn myself (obviously!). Don't worry, the flame is not very hot. I practiced a couple of times to get the positioning and timing down and then used the delay function on the camera to allow me to use both hands to light the match and get the flame going before the flash went off. I used Neat Image, cloned out the match, can of deodorant and my hand which were showing below my chin, adjusted the contrast, cropped and adjusted the sharpness. I hope you all like the result.

Great idea and nice composition infront of good black backdrop. I'd say that the image would have more impact of there were less distracting detail in the model - a shave would mean that the light wouldn't catch those wee white hairs along the chin and neck which keep attracting my focus.

I think the title takes away from the image and the sharpness is a bit destracting..

i like your shot a lot. however, there is some room for improvement in lighting. the lighting on the face is flat.
