| Sky doesn't look good, everything is way oversharpened. Desperately needs colour balancing. Composition is not at all compelling. Nothing interesting in this shot to look at. |

The hardest thing to do right with digital images in nature is get the leaves right. They are so easily over sharpened, which is what I believe has happened here. What I generally do is sharpen up to the point I like it and then back down. Or... I'll sharpen up to where I like the image overally, and then use the history brush and reduce the sharpening anywhere that there are tiny details (leaves, ripples in the water, etc).
The sky, I think, you could have had the hue adjusted slighting and the saturation pumped up a bit (gradient mask, etc). The colors in the leaves are nice, but they too could have benefited from a little saturation. |
