A wagon wheel in front of the "Up A Creek" tackle shop, in Wheatland, Texas (More commonly known "Whiskey Flats")

According to the proprietor of the shop, Mr. Dungy Mac, the country song "Beer, Bait, And Ammo" was inspired by a visit to his store.

This place was a treasure trove of interesting things to photograph, including a fascinating old firetruck, which Mr. Mac knew the detailed history of. I'll be posting some photos of this firetruck in my portfolio soon.

Looks like this one made it to the top third of this challenge, and my 2nd highest score. Not doing too badly for me. I'm pleased with it.

Annpatt may be right about the saturation, I was trying for visual impact and may have bumped it up just a tad too much. I also noticed after the challenge started voting that I may have cropped it with the focal point just a touch too much to the left. Here's a similar wheel I shot during the same session:

What do you think, Better or worse?

An interesting old wheel. Maybe too much saturation. This might work better as more of a high contrast graphic image, but the graphic nature of the image gets lost in all the colorful paint.
