 Wow. this faired better than I thought it would and it took a rollercoaster ride during the voting.

This shot was taken from a commercial airliner flying over the Cascadian Mtn range, heading to Vancouver,BC, from Denver. We were on the left side of the plane heading NW. The time was around noon and the sun was in position to light up the peaks without the haze. I pushed the aperture to f27 and at one point I had it at f32. I was in heaven seeing this from the plane and to be able to capture this on such a clear day. The clouds and fog helped to set off the peaks.

Beautiful capture of the stunning Cascades. Not many photos do them justice but this does with its nice balance of softness and angularity.

holy insane. i dont know how you got such a clear image from whatever kind of airplane or helicopter you were in but its gorgeous
