This is a neat day and photo.

This shot really had a good chance at a ribbon...until you added that frame. Sorry - but in my opinion it ruins the shot. I'm going to try and ignore the frame and still give you a 7

BFC:

Love the silhouette and the star burst of the sun. What's really hurting this shot is the border. It's fighting for my attention against your beautiful landscape.

Good luck and keep shooting!

This is really a great shot.. but someone told me years ago here on DPC that "nothing good ever comes from an orange border". Its just not aesthetically pleasing.. but the image itself is very nice!

Great picture! The orange border ruins it for me. To dominating!

Nice photo, but the orange frame is distracting. it would have done better without it. beautiful light though!

El marco aplicado a la fotografía no ayuda mucho, por le contrario resta la belleza de la composición.

Great capture but I think the border distracts

Hmmm....what's a Dawing? OK I get it. Nice silhouettes of the Joshua Trees and starburst on the rising sun. I remember as a child our family used to travel through the Mohave Desert and when we went through Joshua Tree I always got tired because it looked like the trees were yawning and stretching.

The color of the border is a bit distracting.

Nice shot. One of the best in the challenge. The border is very distracting, IMO. I think it detracts from the beautiful scenery.

border is too distracting.

In my opinion, the border doesn't work very well here... but otherwise this is good. The cactus silhouettes are very interesting.

The border is too distracting in this picture.

Nice sharp detail and great location of the sun
10/31/2007 06:43:54 PM
Nice picture, but because most of the image is dark, the bright orange border does not go with it.

I like this one a lot. Especially the amount of detail you've managed to maintain in the foreground. The only thing I don't like is the border, it stands out too much.

nice silhoutte picture. Just enough detail to see the surrounding.
