I came across this gentleman at the baseball diamond of my old junior high school, he had stopped to take in the sunset while on a bike ride through the neighborhood.

He seemed so content that it caused me to stop and think of the last time I'd enjoyed such a simple pleasure and how much I take for granted.

I asked him if I could take his picture and he was more than happy to be my model.

The focus on his face is perfect. What a natural smile he has! I like how you did some desat as well.

I really like this - I looked at it for awhile before I read your comments, and it seems you captured very well what you saw and described. My thought was that here was a gentleman that was very content, very confident with himself and his life.

Fantastic portrait! I love the fellow's expression, he does indeed look extremely content :-) Neat how his collars mirror the v-shape of his beard, what a great frame for a face! Also neat how this is rather monochromatic, it is very pleasing! Good for you for asking to take his picture, the result is wonderful!

Nice environmental portrait and good juxtaposition of the subject with the background to give an odd context to the portrait. His expression rocks. Wish you would have kept the entire front tire in the frame, but that's just a minor nit.

Nice post processing technique. It really lends itself well to the subject material. Good composition.
