 Added a texture to this backlit plant and dialed in an opacity I liked in overlay mode. I then oversaturated some selected colors, and then partially desat (about 50%) the entire image. I was quite simply playing around to see what I could get - what do you think?

This is the texture I used, from a plastered wall - feel free to make use of this yourself, if you like:

I like the texture. It is almost like the plant is in front of some kind of textured window.

When I first looked at this (and before seeing the title) I thought the plant was in front of a window of some kind - a greenhouse perhaps. I think the texture and processing is very effective here!

I need to learn how to do this texture thingy that you guys have all been doing. Where do I sign up?

I love the background. Before I read your description I was thinking how it looked like you shot this thru some kind of glass coated in water. It looks really cool!
