I think I like this half desaturated version better. Something about it... I can't really explain, but it seems to give the whole image a more classy, silvery look, and my attention is suddenly much more drawn to the person on the bench for some reason. The blur helps that, but in this image, my eyes go to the person, and stay there, fascinated. Amazing what the color tones can do...
Very neat! |

This is awesome! The blur draws my eye right in to the lone woman on the bench; the simple red/green tones make it feel even more lonely to me, and the texture is perfect. The brighter version is nice, but this is so much more moody, really suits this image! |

I hope she was just soaking in a beautiful autumn day and not sitting there lonely and empty. The day does look awesome, so I'm going to think the former.
It's such an emotive photo. It really draws you in.

I much prefer this version (but I'm a monochromatic girl at heart, so take that into account) and I love this picture. Excellent, really excellent use of blur and composition to create a lovely emotional piece. |

I was thinking something similar to Charlie. It looks like she's in the process of transitioning into the next world. Very interesting image - definitely emotive. I like your processing with the gradient map. |
