Thanks for the excellent tips Melethia! Do you think this is closer to being correct? Too bad that bottom leaf is out of focus and has that purple halo around it. |

Well now it depends on your taste whether there's too much blur in the foreground. I rather like it. You can close down the aperture of the lens a bit to increase the depth of field - will get you a bit more in focus, and with a long lens like this if you were close, you'll get a shallower DOF than if you were further away. Not sure if that makes sense to you or not. An option for the picture as is - use a square crop, keeping as much of that lovely colored bokeh as you can, and having the left edge of the table end at about the third line or a bit lower. |

I can just feel fall in this photo. The leave that's dropped but still looks like it is blowing in the wind. The background blurred bokeh is radiates autumn.
Really nice!
