Fantastic shot. The lighting is geart as is the DoF. I'll offer one thing up for you to consider and that is the shadow, it's a little distracting and as a result pulls your eye from your focus point, but once you look past it you move back to your subject. Overall this is one of the better shots I've seen so far in this challenge.

| That's pretty cool! I like the little fan or whatever it is in the droplet of water. Nice sharp details. There is a distracting shadow near the tip of the pencil though. |

nice dof, it's a great image.
the yellow border adds nothing however, it's distracting from an otherwise clean shot. |

| While you're title is intriguing - and going by challenge rules - to me, your image doesn't quite communicate this as something other than a pencil. I like the lighting and the macro though. |

| My gawd...the pencil has become the work of art. Now this image rocks! I love the background and soft colors. The water drop is wonderful. I never tire of seeing water drops. This is well done!! |
