This is an unusual way of writing. It was taken upside down. I didn't have a better background, this is a bed sheet. It would have been better with thicker pencils which I didn't have either.

Nice bright colors, and a clean simple shot. Some voters may ding you for the wrinkles in the background. For me, I think shooting this from a different angle (rather than head on) might add a little more interest and perspective.

Pencils arranged to spell the word PENCIL... while this is a bright and happy photograph, they all still appear to be pencils.

For me, the purple background overtakes the main elements of your image. I like the idea though.

I like where you are going with this. I think it could have been made better with a more neutral background, the bright purple is a bit distracting. Also, I probably wouldnt have included the big pencil and hand. I think it would have worked just fine without it.
