I thought of putting them in someones hair or using them as chopsticks but I decided to go with knitting needles. Went for complimentary colors (red & yellow) and tried to keep as much detail in the red wool as I could whilst using light and shade to give the picture some depth. This was a good exercise in light for me. Don't know how this will rate - it would be nice if it stayed above 5.5 but who knows.
Good detail, and I like the way the lighting brings out the texture of the yarn. Good color choice for the yarn too--it really stands out :-) Was this natural light?
I like this a lot -- the idea, the composition, the choice of colors. I find it just a bit on a darker side, though, and would have liked to see it a little brighter, I think it will make the image really pop.
Functional and about the size of a number 2 knitting kneedle I think. I like the tones of the yellows on the red it works well, and the lighting is not over done. Good shot.
The first thing that jumps out at me with your photo is the great color contrasts. Then, the balanced composition and lighting. All in all, a good photo and creatively done. I hope it does well in the challenge. 10! :-)
