I am tired of flowers and don't like bugs and love people...so here is an eye. I experimented with some crying shots but in the end I liked the crispness of this one the best.

Lighting: one big softbox and then ambient light from a nice clear shade outside, I don't know how much of an effect the ambient light had on the shot but it was nice to have the light outside for a change. Editing was general cloning out of imperfections and messing with the catch light a bit and black and white conversion and levels.

Beautiful shot - most crispy where in focus - I imagine a tiny aperture might have given a deeper depth of field, but this shallow focus image concentrates on the important pupil, which gives it more slap in the eye - so, well done, Claire!

Thats sick! Focus is fantastic, although I am unsure about the glare coming off the cornea. Did you use a Window as your light source?

Very nice eye shot. I think many attempted this shot, buy you succeeded. I like the light and the definition of the eye. Nice macro shot.

I like it, and the absence of color is effective, but it's not really an original shot. Though don't let me saying that downsize the fact that it's still a good picture and I do like it.
