 I don't have a cat of my own, but one of my neighbor's black cats was out on the fire escape Sunday. I snapped this from below. It's dark, and the thumbnail doesn't reveal much, but I like the way the cat was naturally backlit by the window glare.

Actually, I didn't even notice the cat. I did look immediately at the pumpkins just because they were such a stark contrast to the darkness of the photo. The colors are very reminiscent of fall, which I love.

The cat took me off guard, couldn't see her for a sec. Gotta love a black cat by a pumpkin. Great composition.

What a super Oct. image- the cat's profile is so perfect ! I love the little Fall arrangement - I can see your neighbor has worked with what she has to make something pretty - really great capture !

This is very Halloween feeling. I love the diagonal line of the stairwell. Orange and black!!! I might've cropped out the coiled wire to the left and just made it a square crop. Love the kitty!!!

This is great! I love the rich earthy tones and the mix of hard, linear shapes and objects with the more organic elements in the image. How thoughtful of the cat to be so perfectly positioned.
