 HDD with plates in vertical position so that the smoke can follow their surface coming towards the lens. External flash (Sony HVLF36AM) used, in wireless mode. Placed on the right with some sheets of white paper to diffuse and reflect the light. Also the onboard flash was contributing. Then I added a fluorescent lamp on the left to give that bright and yellow reflection that should remind flames. Post processed in Lightroom.

I am confused by what is in the upper left. I can't tell if that is blur or wispy something or what that is.

Creative framing, pretty big shoehorn for the challenge description. Pink color cast doesn't do anything for it.
