lighting is very harsh. the shallow DOF doesn't work well here either, IMHO.

image too soft with no sharp focal point of interest

Camera shake and inadequate focus do not enhance this image. The obtrusive (telephone?) in the BG really is distracting. In my opinion you need to take more time and study just what you are getting in your photo.

you could work on the lightning on this one Seems to me the light comes from behind the glass and overexposures the bottom of the glass, and leaves the middle of the glass in some kind of a fog, could also work on the background, the thing in the upper left corner could work with this picture but the thing to the right behind the glass is distracting from the glass, you might also want to lose the tissue and clean the glass, Anyway good luck :-)

The background in this image is a bit destracting. It would be nice get rid of the extra stuff and focus on the glass...perhaps a solid black would do the trick. This would be in contrast to the white ice cubes and transparent water.

Depth of field is poor

it seems like you were in a hurry to take this shot. Some more time with focusing, placing water drops, and a more interesting background would improve this a lot!

Meets the challenge but the focus seems a little soft. Subject doesn't hold my interest.

The background is a bit too busy, idea is good. Maybe focus could be a bit sharper

Needs better sharpness, and also the background is distracting

I like the high level of light

Not sure where you were trying to focus here. I guess the rim of the glass, but if you're wanting our attention on the water, it might be nice if that was the focus.

Bland subject matter, and the focus needs some more work.

I like the light against modern wood and black - I think it would have looked a bit sharper with a cleaner glass and less shallow DoF (for the bottom part of the glass).
