My ten year old son, Daniel, with his ten year old bunny, Bunbun. They were passing through the living room on their way to get ready for bed. Bunbun is the most treasured thing that Daniel owns. After all these years, he has rubbed off almost every bit of fluff with the exception of small patch under the cottontail. Daniel says he's saving that for college. :)

I absolutely love this picture! It is great to see that boys have treasured things from childhood also. I like the b&w and the textured chair; it makes the picture look as if it was taken years ago. There is so much I like about this picture but one last thing. I find it amusing that Bunbun is so tattered and there he is right next to a bandage on your son’s knee. Fantastic capture!

Absolutely wonderful capture...So sweet! Once again the lighting here is fabulous; all the different variations of it create so many neat tones.

Love the processing on this! And the bandaid on the knee makes it so real. Great shot.

What a great shot, Sadly all my Stuffys were thrown away when i got to about 12 so I have none from my child hood, but I have the one my wife gave me for our first chirstmas together when we were dating and he is going on about 6 years now.

beautiful. I am in awe. Such a fantastic childhood shot -- the perfect focus on the bunny, and the little details -- bare feet, Band-Aid, childish stance -- that add so much. The duotone was a brilliant choice.

My daughter has a "bear blankie" (actually two of them) that goes EVERYWHERE with her. She's only two; I don't know if they will make it to college! Great shot, and one that he will treasure when he is a daddy someday!

Great complement to your day 1 featuring your daughter. The leg position is almost the same in frame. Nice contrast.

It is amazing how you have perfectly captured childhood in this image! The beat up bunny speaks volumes, and the bandaid on the knee does too... really wonderful image!

Oh my, all these sentimental posts about little boys today has got me all misty. :) My oldest has a teddy bear that we bought for him when he was born "baby". Same story, won't go to sleep without him and loves him to death. He's only five so I can't imagine what he'll look like at 10 but I'm guess alot like this. :)

Another gorgeous photo. You blow me away with your toning and great contrast. Excellent light as well.

Now you'll have to excuse me while I go and give Mason and baby another goodnight kiss. :)

Awwwwww. .. I may have told you in the Where we Live challenge, but this reminds me so much of my own "Bun-Bun" named Molly when I was growing up. I kept her until after I was married. Oh the memories of childhood.

I love the compositions you are doing with such interesting crops and angles. And your processing is awesome.

The band-aid adds some awesome character! Great image... you really seemed to capture the feeling of being young here. I like that. Great composition!

I like the way his feet are crossed. Kinda like he is slightly embarassed to have his pic taken.

Geeeshh this is amazing!

Love the tones - the bunny looks well loved. What strikes me is the band-aid - so boyish - and the placement of his feet - a sense of innocence - and the bunny dangling, barely being held by one ear.

It just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

This is such a wonderful photo the sharpness and processing are spot on. I think the fact he has a plaster on his knee just makes it all that better.

Man, your shots are just such story tellers. I'm not even reading the description until after I comment. Love the DOF, the pattern on the rug, the overlapping toes and the hanging bunny. Fabulous hint of green in the duotone too. Excellent job.

What an incredible photo - and what a story it tells. Of course your story is pretty cool, too, Bunbun - what a riot. I had a bunny as a kid as well.
