Brian brought a cup over he had found on a shelf, there was just a little liquid (whatever it had been) left in the bottom with some neat looking mold growing on it (ain't he a romantic! lol). So he asked if I wanted to take pics of it before he threw it away.
I added a funky crackley paint wall layer, used the color burn on that & lowered the opacity. Then flattened it & did the Hollywood filter (from Optikverve labs).

Nothing fancy, but something different! - originally in slice of life.

ok, this is gross but i think it's hilarious that you've trained him to look for photo ops like this.

On another pictures I commented that I have no live plants in my house -- I wasn't counting the various molds that are growing in containers in my refridge! I'd never thought to take a picture, though. :) I like the high contrast.

What an awesome abstract! It almost looks like a ceiling or wall of an old building that is falling apart.

Hey, you could save this and use it as a texture overlay to give some photo an awesome grungy look to it. Very cool!

My worst nightmare is finding a sippy cup under the sofa or the seat in the car. I don't even bother opening them anymore, just straight to the trash. I have a weak stomach when it comes to that. :)

But kudos to you for making yucky mold look kinda cool, actually, very cool. :-D

Nice abstract. The crackley paint wall layer looks real. These days I use my vacuum brewer and rarely use the drip brewer. Guess what I saw in it after it sat for weeks without the grounds being dumped? Yep, a science experiment just like this.

Aw, you didn't want to show us the lovely mold and mildew in full color?

I like it! It reminds me of the petri dish experiments from science class.
