I like this photo from a lighting and contrast stand point. I like your use of selective desaturation. I think if it doesn't do as well as you hope it is because people probably don't understand why there is technology in a tree. Kind of like reading a story with a missing chapter.

Needs a center of interest. Doesn't make much of a statement. The lighting at the base of the tree seems misplaced.
