 My daughter Tessa's passion is horseback riding. She's on a newly formed interscholastic riding team and "graduated" recently from wearing shorter paddock boots to tall field boots for competitive shows. She was getting ready for a jumping course here during a practice session.

I almost had a heart attack when we went to the tack shop to buy the boots and the first boxes that I saw were priced at over $500!!! I quickly found directions to the consignment section of the shop, where we found this pair at a much lower (but still ridiculously expensive) cost.
A little spit 'n polish and they were as good as new.

Good for you on finding a bargain on the boots. Everything is used ten minutes after you buy it, right?

How interesting, Erin! I love this composition! And those boots should be showcased as center stage as fancy and high dollar as they are :) She looks every bit the riding professional.

Fantastic composition - very compelling, even in the thumb. Great in BW. And yes, those boots are something, aren't they? When I was younger, I rode a lot and the boots were a killer to buy.

Nice showcasing of the boots. I often think of how much money I would have to spend on photography stuff if I was'nt having to fork out money all the time for my girls dance and gym I would have the best of everything! But I think I have my priorities right and the lens etc can wait ;)

VERY NICE. Literally a slice of a moment. I love the shine on the boots and the muscle of the horse. The hint of warm tones works well on it.
