I think this is a really good portrait and am surprised it didn't score higher (not that 6.3 is anything to be ashamed of). I only gave out four "10s" this challenge and this was one of them. I like the glow of the white hair and the deep blacks of the background. Great texture revealed in the face. How neat that it's your dad.
Just looking at his "life lines" you can just imagine all of his different expressions, I can look at his face and see one expression, look away, and look again, and he has a completely different expression. Very lovely capture of someone who has lived a lifetime.
I like this shot, but part of me is tired of seeing old wrinkly people with a title that plays on their current dermatological state. Then again, his expression is great!--8
