Spent some time at a sunflower field a few weeks ago...
It was a little too dark and windy for my taste, so I didn't get too many shots in...but this one I figured I'd enter. It's my first entrance into a challenge since over a year ago! Now that I'm a member I thought I'd start "challenging" myself. Haha! Have no idea how this will do. Not expecting too much...but ready to start challenging it up!

Hey Brian, where is this field? I like the shot, the focus on the front flower is spot on, I enjoy the dof you chose. The vignetting though, for me, is a bit much. Good to see you in the challenges!

I think Summer is fading faster for some of the other sunflowers in the background by the looks of them ;- )

I don't care much for the shallow depth of field and the noise on a subjective level, but the DOF is well executed, and the detail and light on the flower in the foreground is excellent. Great setting and composition.

Very interesting. I love the detail on the sunflower that's in focus and the fact that other sunflowers are a bit wilted -- very well seen. I am just not sure that the processing works that well here.

He's the one who speaks for the rest - still in his prime but all to aware of the fading flock behind him. Very poignant in a way.

Nice perspective. I like the wedge shaped cluster of sunflowers, but I think a slightly greater depth of field would have been nice as well.
