 Taken at the Shreveport American Rose Center. A little levels adjust, a little brightness/contrast, USM, Resize, USM and save for web. Very much within the basic editing rules.

This is my first submission with the 40D and I utilized the 'live view' for focus. Very useful tool when tripod mounted.

Nice flower good focus. The bright green leaf at the top though is a little distracting and my attention is drawn to it.

You need a shallower DOF here, and this could probably use a contrast bump as well.

Lovely texture in the flower. My only complaint here is the black dot in the center.

Pretty flower. There's a little dark spot in the center that I might have cloned out, and with just a bit more saturation on the leaves, I would have scored this a point higher. Nice job.
