This looks like a candid group shot, imo. It would be a great location for a group portrait with the bridal party, though.

It's a nice photo, but nothing is really standing out to me...

of course this is a nice capture, but group portrait? come on!!

OK, this isnt really a portrait is it? Its a very well composed shot (I would of cropped out the brickwork at the bottom though) but to try to squeeze it into a portrait challenge is pushing it a bit far.. sorry but I am gonna DNMC you on this one... sorry :( 4

cool

Not a very convincing picture. The symmetry is nice, but the symmetry has nothing to with the group. The title says 'wedding', but I doubt it, given the informal clothing and the way the group is shattered over the place. Furthermore, the group -if it is a group- does not seem to be the main subject of the picture and the blown out whites are pretty disturbing. (3)

Shouldn't people be looking at the camera for a portrait?

Not close enough to justify the definition of a group portrait IMO, but a lovely image.

The reflection dominates the photograph more than the people...thus I would not classify this as a group portrait. People aren't the subject here. As a reflection shot, I would also crop the bottom to get rid of the beige and the orange.

For me, the people (which I think should be the main focus) are almost incidental in your landscape image.

Other then the title you haven't showen us much in the way of interest. I am finding out that this site and the people on it like to be given something that they can either see right away or that they can be drawen into and find the story for themselves.

Purhaps a different angle or approach all together would have helped you with this one.

The lighting and colours are nice and there is nothing wrong with the composition, it just seemes to be void of an interesting subject/story.

Still I wish you all the best with this shot, remember, I am only one opinion.

Nice reflection. Everything is very centered, which is normally not good, but I think breaking the rules worked for this one.

The people don't seem to be the subject.
10/04/2007 10:53:47 AM
probably the crop of the pavement on the low side was a better choice
10/04/2007 03:30:04 AM
beautiful shot but i feel that being a portrait, it should be a close-up of a group of people who are the main subject in the photo
10/03/2007 06:49:17 PM
I do not consider this a group portrait...
10/03/2007 04:17:02 PM
I am scoring a bit low since I think that people should be the focal point in a portrait, they appear to me more of just a crowd that is in the way of taking a picture of the water and structure
10/03/2007 11:58:20 AM
This is not a portrait imo I'm afraid
10/03/2007 10:50:41 AM
I wouldn't consider this a group protrait - just a picture of a group. Not on person is looking at the camera. Although, the gazebo reflection is nice.

Not something I would consider a portrait.
