wonderful sense of style...tones, composition all work wonderfully together...forgetting the whole competition for a bit, I can't see this ever being underrated, more likely celebrated inside a cd insert... |

I, for one, really like your style. It may not score well, but it's very good. This is an excellent example - this is a fine "in the moment" capture with a great deal of life to it. It's well composed, well exposed, and has just the right touch of post processing - at least in my uneducated opinion. Yet for DPC, it's not "flashy" enough - and I certainly wouldn't want it any flashier. It has DPC-technical-flaws - blown highlights, cutoff head, cutoff arms - all of which, in my opinion, serve the composition well. So do what you do - there are some of us out here who really appreciate it. And I'm betting your friend liked this, too - did he put it up on his myspace page? |

Fun! This has a 50s/60s Johnny cash feel to it. Love how the focus is actually on the microphone. Great lighting! |

I really like the desat simplicity of this shot, the only slight distraction is the vertical lines on the right side of the frame. |

A couple of randowm thoughts as a reaction to your picture: the lighting is too harsh and blows out section of his face and shirt. THe light also is the reason for motion blur of the singer, while the mike is sharp and crisp. distracting background, eyes are closed |

Interesting. I wish the person were as sharp as the microphone is. Not sure I like the cut off head or the yellow-green tint to the photo. But I like his pose, you can tell he's really into the music. |

Interesting use of a cross-processing style. You don't see it much around these parts. Gives an interesting feel to the photo. Good job. |

your processing gives a nice vintage touch. the picture frame is quite distracting. crop at right and bottom is too tight |

Love the retro vibe you have going with the processing - really fabulous. |
