Being at 5000m affords some unreal views of our universe. And so out comes the camera. This time I sort of know what Iīm doing (Iīve done a few more star trail shots since the last one) - and so I set the camera pointing south, towards mine and Wannesī tent. Five minutes in, Wannes (who is in the tent), turns on his headlamp. 3 min later, itīs off. Sweet. I wait.. and wait, in the cold, some more pushups. Itīs time - close the shutter, look at the picuture. NAILED! My favourite star trail shot so far...

damien, revisiting an old fave here. This shot shot really has so much going on, and I know from trying it myself that these types of shots aren't as easy as they seem. You def nailed it here, with the center of the swirl in perfect compositional balance to the tent, which is in turn perfectly situated amid the glowing background. Would have easily ribboned in a non-free study IMO, good to be on team polska with you!

Wow - I'm usually unimpressed by sky-shots like this but this one certainly has a nice effect.

Great shot. This would be a good advertisement for the makers of the tent. Also, is that a town or fire in the background? It's hard for me to tell.

Nice star trails but what I really like is the other existing light. very nice composition. I especially like the placement of the tent

I am captivated by this image. I keep looking into the "wormhole" of rotating stars. Good composition but I wish the bright lights on the left wheren't there. Maybe you could have used the rocks to block them.

Interesting shot, especially with the burst of fire coming thru the clouds in the background. I would like to have seen more clarity or sharpness on the tent or something in the foreground. I think that would help create a little more depth for the photo.

Despite the motion of the stars, this has a wonderful sense of stillness.

wow, I am waiting for the day I learn how to do this and then get a location to do it. I love the extra element of the tent it adds a lot to the composition

not a fan of starry motion, but this is very well done. purple blotches at top left distract, though
