Good capture. Good choice on the vertical. The height of the trees puts the sun in perspective which gives it the rising sun feeling.

A bit too sharp on the leaves for me, especially compared to the right half of the photo, which is quite nice and soft. On the other hand, you captured the separate rays beautifully and completely without lens flare! I'd say it communicates something, all right.
