Post Challenge Comments:
This was in Colorado, the poster below was correct. Taken at Dinosaur ridge, which frankly the dinosaur tracks weren't that photogenic. This tree and scene caught my eye on the other side of the road.

Wasn't the best time of day for this photo (1pm) and that made it difficult for me to pull a good picture even though I liked the scene. Post Processing was pretty heavy on this one...

Wow, what a perspective, nicely framed.

I think it looks great for a 1PM shot. I don't know if you did it in post processing or not but I do love the spots of highlight in the background which indicate where the sun was peeking thru the clouds. Love the centered composition with the tree. It's like a landscape pic with a little gift in front.

Absolutely fantastic shot Jayson. Your B&W's have been fantastic lately. This should have scored much higher. Maybe you could be the next Ansel Adams.

Very busy picture. Don't know where to look first. I keep wanting to get around the tree to see the view clearly, but the tree is the view here.

Hmmm...on one hand there's the dead tree and on the other the "life" of the cars driving by...I like it. A subliminal message of some sort? I like the use of black & white - I find it effective.

Good example of the ordinary made extraordinary. Nice POV and the B&W works helps achieve this.

Excellent find - processing (and tiny nature of cars not revealing much detail) makes it look like it was taken decades ago.)

i wouldn't realize how high up this was without the highway. The highway is not expected in a shot like this, but it works well.

The tree is great...not sure about the road

This is a really good shot and for me providing a real tension between what is essentially a timeless B&W landscape shot - great tree, clouds and hills . but it has this huge highway carved across the landscape trying to force this vision upto date.

The highway pushes movement, speed, noise and purpose against the still and calm of the weathered leafless tree and rolling landscape.

Very good.

Mmmm not sure what i think. Its a nice photo and well post processed with a great sky but it does not have that wow feel.

this has a very "1950's" feel to it ... nice job with the b/w conversion ..

If only we could get rid of that highway :) - 7
