 Photographed against a blue sky (first one in over a week) Still getting to grips with my 300D, its a steep learning curve. Cropped, curves, USM and a little colour correction.

Thanks for those who took the time to comment. This was my first challenge and hopefully I will learn from it. The lighting was a little harsh but I have just bought a new monitor and hadnt calibrated it until after I posted my entry.

The shadows on the left hurt you. If the leftmost plants were all in shadows that would be better, but the way they are, I think its too distracting. Odd way of framing this too.

I see to planes here... one in focus, one not. I can't tell if you have achieved shallow DOF or not!

These are cute catkins. The lighting on them is just a bit harsh, but the DOF really works to set them apart. Nice composition, too.
