Think it turned out pretty well all things considered. I am not a fan of that move the light approach, at all. But if it salvaged a shot for you, then why the hell not use it. |

you should post the original so we can see what you did with the tutorial. I would never have guessed that it was sunlight. Looks like a spotlight! Oh, and yes I have heard of Stephen Marley. |

A well composed shot with good detail and tonal range. Tough lighting situation, but you handled it well. |

I personally don't have any experience with this type of photography (band/performers/musicians). When I look at this I can get a sense of the intensity and the heat. The sheen of sweat on the drummers skin, the harsh shadow on the left speaker, the mic stand on the lead performers jeans. This all kind of puts me there in a way, which is cool. Regarding B/W...it's contrasty and the tonal range is covered. Works for me. :) |
