 Ah, for want of Advanced editing (that little leaf on the left is really annoying me).

The model is Dave, spinning a fire staff, shot in an Edinburgh graveyard. I was using my 400D to take pictures of fire for the first time, and it was really exciting to be able to actually control everything.

Editing: can't quite remember, but pretty basic. Crop, levels, selective colour (yellow and red), brightness/contrast, usm several times. I think that's about it. Not sure I'm happy with the crop I ended up with, but it's the best I could do.

Spirals of detail. Captiviating shot. the lens flare in the lower area might have hurt you, otherwise beauty of a shot.

interesting image..its hard to distinguish the silhouette, and, in any case, it does not seem to be the main subject.
